How much does printing cost?

Students

CTS provides printing through students' Technology Fee. Students can print up to 300 pages for free during each semester and session, and 150 pages during Winterim. Since color printing is more expensive, when printing to a color printer, for every 1 page printed 3 are deducted from your quota. After you reach the semester limit, students will be charged 5 cents per page.

Faculty and staff

Can print up to 100 free pages in college computer labs (including the Libraries) during each semester, session, and winterim. After reaching the limit your department will be recharged and/or invoiced at a rate of 10 cents per page for black and white print outs and 30 cents per page for color print outs.

Unaffiliated Users

Can print to a printer behind the Circulation Desk; Circulation staff will release your printouts to you for 10 cents per page, cash only.

Details of the current policy can be found on the CTS printing services page, and you can check your print balance on SQUIRT.

How do I access library resources from off campus?

All of our resources are authenticated through a proxy server, so if you're off-campus and you click a link on the Libraries' website, you will be asked to log in with your Campus Computer Account. This should allow you to use everything you would be able to use if you were on-campus. If you have any problems, please ask at the Technology Help Desk.
